I cannot seem to fall asleep. I toss and turn and stare. I tried to count some silly sheep while over some fence they bounced. I even tried to think of pleasant dreams And of places really sweet. I don’t know why I cannot sleep— I slept perfectly fine at school.

I don,t belong here... Surely there is another place                                 another time                                             another world. The other butterflies tell me to just drink the nectar But they don't understand The bright flowers hurt my eyes And I prefer the darkness... Every night I try so hard to join the lights in the sky But my wings won't take me that high... Voices whisper my failure I can never make it in this life...

I had so many feelings And I couldn't let them go No one really noticed Because I did not let them show I never meant to hurt him He was everything to me But nothing lasts forever And it was just too hard to be I loved him so very much But now that time has passed Moving on has been hard But I knew it wouldn't last
